First vinyl reissue of Charles Douglas's The Burdens Of Genius, originally released in 1998. "The best New York record you've never heard!" Had it not been for bad timing, mental illness, rampant drug abuse, and a penchant for burning bridges, Charles Douglas might be thought of today as a songwriter on par with Stephen Malkmus, Beck, Daniel Johnston, Robert Pollard, and other members of the indie-rock aristocracy. Playing all the instruments himself, recording in the basement of his parents' house in Allentown, Pennsylvania, his songs range from gleeful stoner anthems to deranged anti-folk to noisy pop to lo-fi bubblegum. Following a reissue of The Lives Of Charles Douglas in 2011, which features Maureen Tucker on drums, this first time on vinyl reissue should mark the world rediscovery of Charles Douglas's genius!

MY DOG'S AREN'T INTERESTED ...
Color: Red
This is a large, heavy, hard rubber toy, so is of high quality. However, it is SO heavy that neither my 60-lb. female Boxer nor my 80-lb. male Bully will 'play' with it at all. They don't even chew on it. So, although it would probably be pretty indestructible, I have no way to verify that, since neither of my dogs show any interest at all. I've tried encouraging them, by holding on one end of it and encouraging them to grab the other end, but even that didn't work. Perhaps a much larger 'giant' breed dog would enjoy it.

Tough chewer for sure

Fantastic toy for aggressive chewiers!
I have bought two of these for my granddaughters three dogs and they love them! In fact, I only bought one to see if they would, and all 3 played with it! One is a 5 year old pit mix, one is a 9 mo. lab mix, and ine is a 10 year old shepherd mix! Miss Lab goes through toys like melting ice, so they reall have to be well made. Not even Kong toys have made it with her! All three dogs have made it squeak, which we didn't know it did! If you have an aggressive chewier, this is the toy you need to put in the #1 spot on your list to buy!
