Si Assam s'arrête sur un tapis adverse, le marchand doit payer une dîme à son propriétaire avant de poser un de ses tapis sur un espace adjacent. Quand le dernier tapis est posé, on totalise les tapis visibles et la somme détenue par chacun des marchands: le meilleur l'emporte.
