These blooms are made up of hundreds of tiny purple flowers and appear in late spring to early summer, creating a stunning display. The plant's leaves are also quite attractive, being a glossy deep green color.

This plant prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It's also drought-tolerant, making it a good choice for gardens in drier climates. MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. Bulb rot will occur in overly moist or poorly drained soils.  Watch for mildew, rust, and leaf spot.  Thrips are occasional problems.
